Dr. Sanaz Majd is a board-certified family medicine physician. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC San Diego, earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, and later served as Chief Resident at Kaiser Permanente Santa Ana.
She practices evidence-based medicine with a personal touch, focusing on thoughtful prescribing and collaborative decision-making. Her guiding principle: treat every patient as she would her family.
Passionate about teaching, Dr. Majd has long been involved in medical education and shares her expertise on her YouTube channel, @MajdMD, where she reviews common health topics for the public.
She lives in North County San Diego with her husband, Dr. Edward Ferrer, and their identical twin daughters. Outside of medicine, she enjoys writing, traveling, science fiction, and the nightly Netflix sword fight.
Dr. Edward Ferrer is a board-certified family medicine physician and San Diego native. Before medicine, he served as a U.S. Marine Corporal in front-line infantry and fought during the first Persian Gulf War, where he discovered his calling to save lives.
He earned his Bachelors degree from UC San Diego, his medical degree from Ross University, and completed residency at Kaiser Permanente Riverside. Returning home to San Diego, he has been caring for patients as a primary care physician ever since.
Dr. Ferrer is also known for his precision and skill in office procedures, performing over ten thousand of No-Needle, No-Scalpel Vasectomies over the past 13 years. His approach blends artistry, technical expertise, and a strong ethical commitment to preventing unwanted pregnancies.
A devoted father and lifelong soccer fan, he also enjoys technology, finance, and unwinding in evenings with his family—often to a Netflix British period drama his wife has chosen.
